WHAT IS WORKPLACE GIVING?
Workplace giving - or becoming a Grater Giver - is the most simple and cost effective way to donate regularly to the causes you care about. Your donations come straight out of your pre-tax pay, meaning your taxable income is reduced.
For a small donation each pay, you can join SAHMRI to help tackle some of the biggest health challenges in Australia today and make a Grater Impact.
WHERE DOES YOUR DONATION GO?
By signing up to support SAHMRI via your workplace giving program, you will be helping to fund better ways of fighting cancer, diabetes, Parkinson’s, heart disease and many more. You can help us to improve the health and care of mums and their babies, the mental health and wellbeing of the community and create equal health outcomes for Aboriginal communities across Australia.
Once you have signed up, you don’t need to do anything else. The record keeping is taken care of and you receive a tax receipt at the end of the financial year.
HOW DO YOU DONATE AND BECOME A GRATER GIVER?
Contact your employer about joining their workplace giving program. You can nominate SAHMRI as the recipient and the amount you want to donate. Donations are automatically deducted from each pay making it a straight-forward approach, plus you’ll receive an immediate tax benefit rather than having to wait until the end of financial year.
Every donation you make leads us closer to life-saving breakthroughs, transforming health and creating a brighter future for your community.
If only 10% of working Australians gave $5 a week to a charity, their contributions would amount to $300 million every year!
Studies show that 81 per cent of respondents consider an organisation’s commitment to social issues when deciding where to work.
A strong workplace giving program can help your business recruit the best and brightest in the field, improve staff retention, and lead to higher productivity and motivation.
