SAHMRI Women and Kids

SAHMRI's Healthy Mothers, Babies and Children Theme Leader, Professor Maria Makrides, has been named one of South Australia's most influential women, according to The Advertiser on Saturday, 8 March 2014.

Professor Makrides is also the director of the Women’s and Children’s Health Research Institute. Her passion lies in developing nutrition strategies – particularly among socially disadvantaged families – to minimise preventable deaths in women and children.
