Sylvia and Charles Viertel Charitable Foundation senior medical research fellowships announced

The Trustees of the Sylvia and Charles Viertel Charitable Foundation are pleased to announce the winners of the Foundation’s 2013 Senior Medical Research Fellowships:

• Dr Alex Brown – South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute
• Dr Axel Kallies – Walter Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research

Each Fellow receives $1,225,000 ($245,000 pa for five years) to undertake leading-edge research in their areas of expertise, making it the most prestigious medical research award in Australia.
