SAHMRI named 'Rising Star' by top international journal

SAHMRI is thrilled to be recognised as one of Nature’s 2016 25 Rising Stars in the Asia-Pacific region.

Nature Index 2016 Rising Stars identifies the influential performers in the field of science, based on the Nature Index, which is used to rate over 8,000 scientific institutions across the world according to the number and quality of their research publications. It also takes into account their improvements.

SAHMRI’s Executive Director, Professor Steve Wesselingh, said that as a very young organisation, SAHMRI is honoured to be listed among the top 25 Rising Stars in Australia.

“We have worked hard to attract the world’s best researchers to perform impactful and high-quality research,” he said.

“We’re incredibly proud of what we have achieved since moving into our flagship facility in 2013 - and this ranking reflects our commitment to excellence."

“Collaboration is key to SAHMRI’s success, and we are pleased to see a number of our collaborative partners are also included on the Rising Stars list, including SA Health, Flinders University and The University of South Australia."
