SAHMRI Executive Director appointed President-Elect of AAMRI

Today, SAHMRI’s Executive Director, Professor Steve Wesselingh, was announced the President-Elect of AAMRI – the Australian Association of Medical Research Institutes; Australia’s peak body for medical research institutes around Australia.

SAHMRI and AAMRI share similar objectives of harnessing the power of collaboration and knowledge sharing to improve health outcomes for people all over Australia and beyond.

Professor Wesselingh said that he is very pleased to be involved with AAMRI.

“I believe strongly in their mission of working to achieve positive policy outcomes for health and medical research in Australia, so it was fitting for me to accept this position,” Professor Wesselingh said.

“SAHMRI has been a proud member of AAMRI since the early days of the Institute, and the support they offer has proven invaluable.”
