- In 2020, 13.5% of people aged 15 years and over and 15.4% of young people aged 15-29 years smoked.
- The majority of South Australian smokers have tried to quit previously (73.2%); 38.9% have tried to quit in the past year and 61.8% intent to try to quit in the next six months.
- 2.6% of people aged 15 years and over were current users of e-cigarettes.
