Professor Tim Hughes discusses CML with 60 Minutes

Professor Tim Hughes is SAHMRI's Cancer theme leader. Earlier this year he met Elle Halliwell, a reporter with the Daily Telegraph. Elle had been diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia (CML) and discovered she was pregnant. She and her husband Nick were desperate to keep their baby, and were looking for advice.

60 Minutes interviewed Elle and Professor Hughes about the journey so far. You can watch the full episode here.

The producers also prepared an additional clip featuring Elle and Nick discussing how cancer has affected their lives

If you would like to support Professor Hughes' research, you can make a gift to the Elle's Journey Fund here.
